Caroline D'Amore - Founder of Pizza Girl™

California Native Caroline D’Amore, a notable Model and DJ turned full-time entrepreneur, simultaneously maintained the role as executive chef and owner of Los Angeles-based family restaurants (D’Amore’s Pizza), while first introducing Pizza Girl™ in Spring 2019; a line of USDA certified organic, locally sourced and ethically-bottled sauces. Pizza Girl, Caroline’s childhood nickname which has become her persona to this day, sought to bring the freshest, healthiest, and most delicious pasta sauces to households nationwide for friends and families to enjoy together.

Today, Caroline, also a mother to a beautiful daughter, focuses her efforts solely on her Pizza Girl brand and building this namesake empire. Pizza Girl returns Spring of 2021 with three updated sauce varieties; Marinara, Arrabbiata and Vodka flavor profiles, available at www.pizzagirl.com. All Pizza Girl sauces are non-GMO, USDA certified organic, locally sourced, ethically bottled, and shipped with eco-friendly packaging in 24-oz glass jar.

The Pizza Girl brand initially made waves the second it hit the market, for its flavorful and health-forward sauce, via Hollywood influencers and instant fans of the brand inclusive of Paris Jackson, Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Chudney Ross, Kourtney Kardashian, Emile Hirsch, Paris Hilton, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, and more.

Her e-commerce site is first to relaunch this March, offering the sauces for direct to consumer purchase in 24-oz glass jars. Pizza Girl will then do a retail rollout throughout 2021 beginning in her home state of California. “As an LA native, I spent years browsing the aisles at grocery stores so it was a dream come true to have my own sauce recipe on the shelves of my favorite retailers. I am beyond grateful and look forward to being back there again this Spring,” notes Caroline D’Amore, Founder of Pizza Girl.

“Coming from an Italian family of pizza makers, it was always a dream of mine to have a home product line featuring my grandmother’s recipes, reinvented, for everyone across the country to enjoy,” said D’Amore. “Essentially, the pizza business is in my DNA, and I am proud to carry on the tradition through my own interpretation, keeping my great grandmother’s recipes alive, following in my dad’s entrepreneurial footsteps, and adding my own modern touch.” - Caroline D’Amore

Pizza Girl accelerated fast into early 2020 and after initially selling out all inventory, Caroline was faced with multiple factors that made it difficult to continue to meet demand. As with many businesses, the COVID-19 shut-down put pressure on her company early on, which led D’Amore to make the difficult decision to pause and regroup. Coupled with becoming a newly divorced single mother, this led her on a journey of major soul searching. She picked herself up and started all over again with a new outlook on life and business, and used the downtime to restructure the company. Pizza Girl™ is now excited for their relaunch with a stronger foundation than before, ready to meet the demand for her sauces. Caroline has had time to properly align her production and farm locations, and work with suppliers and partners who will strengthen her vision.

D’Amore adds, “...the integrity of our product is everything, and we will only ever produce and put out sauces that are up to these standards. If it meant pausing to adjust our growing needs to meet consumer demand, along with personal events, then those were the necessary steps to take. We are so excited to be rolling out our new product inventory this Spring, into forever.”

The family-derived recipes originated with D’Amore’s great grandmother, “Big Mumma,” in Italy, and have been perfected over time in California using only local, USDA certified organic ingredients sourced with integrity.

Seeking to deliver natural, delicious, and healthy pasta sauces to consumers nationwide, Pizza Girl has taken the extra step to protect our environment. “After seeing the amount of plastic used in this industry, from packaging to the use of plastic jars, we see it as our responsibility to be as environmentally conscious as possible,” said D’Amore. Pizza Girl’s sauces are bottled in glass jars, and they have chosen to partner with shipping companies that share their belief in sustainable, eco-friendly packaging inclusive of recycled materials. “Pizza Girl is for families to enjoy together,” D’Amore adds. “We need to ensure our planet is healthy so that future generations can continue to enjoy the earth’s natural bounty.”
