Written by Dawn Wilson
It’s easy to live La Dolce Vita (the good life) at Mr. C Beverly Hills Hotel because they offer guests classic luxury at every turn. This glamorous hotel is situated in Beverly Hills, California, just minutes away from the famed Rodeo Drive. The Cipriani family of renowned Cipriani restaurants established the Mr. C Hotel. They were committed to offering travelers a hotel with effortless design sophistication and old-world charm with the glamour that Cipriani’s name evokes. The hotel came to fruition with the opening of Mr. C Beverly Hills.
The hotel’s current home was built in 1965 and is considered an iconic fixture in Beverly Hills. Later, it was acquired by the developers of the Mr. C Hotel brand and transformed into the 138-guest room hotel, which also included 12 suites. The hotel quickly became one of the most desirable hotels in Los Angeles for a host of reasons, namely because of its personalized attention to its guests and its world-class amenities. It offers a mix of contemporary architecture and design with old-world sophistication. In addition, there are iconic photographs by photojournalist Giuseppe Palmas, known for his 1950s and 1960s photos of Italian celebrities, throughout the hotel and specific to each suite.
Guestrooms are reminiscent of the style and sophistication found throughout Italy, with red and white as its signature colors and the maritime colors of navy and white in the bathrooms. Its bedroom and lounge furnishings are of deep, rich leather textures accented by dark wood furnishings that add warmth, comfort a touch of elegance. Guest bathrooms look more like the interiors of a yacht, as there is a peek-a-boo window deep wooden soaking tub, chrome and travertine marble accents with Molton Brown toiletries, a European luxury brand. In addition, guests will find other noticeable high-end toiletries, such as Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel Bath & Shower Gel and Indian Cress hair products.
Some suites offer double balconies with expansive views over Beverly Hills. Suites come with gel mattresses, luxury bed linen by Casarovea, a wet bar, a library, 42-inch HDTV, hardwood flooring, and luxurious handcrafted Italian furnishings. Bathrooms are marble and include a rain shower, a double vanity sink, and La Bodega toiletries. In addition, there are floor-to-ceiling sliding door windows lead to private balconies with panoramic views across the iconic California vistas.
It’s no wonder, with the name of Cipriani associated with the hotel, so many are eager to see if they could follow up the success of their restaurants with a hotel brand. Guests are happy that Mr. C Beverly Hills lives up to its expectations.
Los Angeles is known for its poolside lifestyle, so the hotel would only be complete with a luxury pool area. The Yacht Club Pool has a 4,500 sq. ft pool area with teak decking, a poolside bar and dining area, day beds, lounge sofas, teak banquettes, and pool attendant service. The private cabanas come with privacy curtains, refreshments, and HDTVs.
The hotel brings luxury spa services directly to you by offering in-room spa and poolside services at The Yacht Club Pool. In addition, guests can keep in shape by swimming in the pool or enjoying the 24-hour fitness center.
Upon entering the hotel, guests can enjoy coffee or cocktails from the lobby bar. The lobby is lovely, with high gloss-stained interiors, plush Chesterfield leather sofas, and stools. The European-style open-air terrace off the foyer offers additional seating for guests. During the morning hours, it is transformed into an area for guests to enjoy a Grab & Go breakfast and coffee from the lobby Barista. In addition, take advantage of the chance to dress up, meet and mingle in The Lounge Bar every Friday and Saturday evening while enjoying live musical performances before dinner.
The Restaurant at Mr. C is considered simple, refined Cipriani cuisine, offering authentic Italian Cuisine. Guests can expect many favorite traditional Italian dishes, such as baked tagliolini, spaghetti, grilled dishes, artisan pizzas, and fresh salads. There are also traditional cocktails on the menu, such as the original Bellini and the newest specialty cocktail, Mr. C. Top off any meal with a taste of heaven from the dessert menu, with such favorites as tiramisu or gelato.
There are many things to love about Mr. C Beverly Hills, but the real WOW factor would be the Starlight Ballroom, with the most stunning views of Los Angeles you’ll ever see. It will leave you speechless! This 5,000 sq. ft., the 12th-floor ballroom offers 360-degree views of Los Angeles, which can be seen from inside the ballroom or on the glass-enclosed balconies, with views as far as the Santa Monica beaches.
The fourth generation Cipriani obviously knows a thing or two about luxury, as they have created timeless luxury at Mr. C Beverly Hills Hotel for all to enjoy.
