Deer Valley East Village - Four-Season Destination Anchored in Luxury, Design & Lifestyle

Deer Valley has long set the standard for elevated mountain living, but its next chapter—Deer Valley East Village—signals something far more expansive: the emergence of a true four-season destination anchored in luxury, design, and lifestyle. Developed by New York City-based Extell Development Company in partnership with Alterra Mountain Company and Reef Capital Partners, Deer Valley East Village is not simply an extension of the famed ski resort, but a reimagining of what alpine living can be today.

While Deer Valley’s legacy is rooted in its world-class, ski-only experience that is defined by impeccably groomed runs, daily skier capacities, and a level of service rarely seen in mountain destinations, Deer Valley East Village builds upon that foundation with a broader, year-round vision. As one of the largest resort villages to have been developed in North America in over 40 years, Deer Valley East Village offers over 2,800 new luxury hotel rooms and residences and seamless connectivity to Deer Valley Resort’s major terrain expansion, including 11 new chairlifts and over 100 new ski runs, and across the mountain – even beyond the slopes.

In the warmer months, the landscape transforms into a hub for outdoor recreation and wellness. More than 50 miles of hiking and biking trails wind through alpine terrain, while the nearby Jordanelle Reservoir introduces a rare water element to the mountain lifestyle, offering paddleboarding, boating, and fly fishing against a backdrop of sweeping peaks. Golf, too, plays a central role, with access to multiple courses in the region, including Skyline, an exclusive Tiger Woods–designed course available to Marcella Club members. Programming throughout the year, from outdoor concerts and farmers' markets to wellness classes and curated events, further reinforces Deer Valley East Village as a place designed for continuous engagement, not just a seasonal escape.

At the heart of this evolution is a thoughtfully curated mix of hospitality and residential offerings that elevate the experience well beyond that of a traditional resort. Deer Valley East Village will ultimately feature a collection of globally recognized brands, each bringing its own perspective on luxury living. The property includes multiple luxury and lifestyle-branded hotels and more than 1,000 private residences ranging from estate lots to luxury condominiums, almost 200,000 square feet of retail and commercial space, and 68,000 square feet of recreation space. Branded residences are resonating strongly, with buyers drawn to established luxury names including the Waldorf Astoria Resort and Residences Deer Valley, Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley and Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, which has already sold out. Deer Valley East Village has also recently announced the recent listing of the most expensive penthouse unit in Utah located at the Four Seasons Resort and Residences Deer Valley for $37 million, also underscoring sustained demand for this brand-backed, lifestyle-forward approach.

The newly announced penthouse listing of the Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences Deer Valley marks a significant milestone, setting a new benchmark for the mountain town and for the state as it reflects sustained demand for branded, service-driven homeownership in alpine settings. The six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bath penthouse crowns the 11th and 12th floors at an elevation of over 6,600 feet. Designed by ODA Architecture, it spans 7,077 square feet of interior living space connected by a private elevator, plus more than 500 square feet of outdoor terraces with panoramic mountain views in multiple directions. The residence features three primary suites, dramatic entertaining spaces, and refined interiors that blend rugged stone and wood with metallic accents inspired by the region's mining heritage. In addition to this Penthouse, Four Seasons Resort and Private Residences also offers seven more penthouses that range from expansive single-level floor plans to dramatic duplexes starting at $20.5 million.

Importantly, Deer Valley East Village’s appeal is not limited to its setting, but also its accessibility. Located just 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, the destination offers a level of convenience that is increasingly critical for today’s luxury buyer, whether arriving for a weekend or an extended stay. Several private airports are also nearby.

As demand continues to shift toward experiential, service-oriented living, Deer Valley East Village stands out as a forward-looking model. It captures the essence of what modern luxury has become: not just a place to visit, but a place to live, year-round, with every detail designed to support a seamless, elevated way of life.
