How Long Does an HQD Vape Last?

One of the things that makes buying a vape really fun is knowing that you’re getting a lot for your money. Vapes aren’t cheap. If you want to keep your costs as low as possible, you need to buy devices that give you the most possible hits per dollar.

You can’t do that, though, unless you know how long the different devices last.

You’ve probably seen an HQD vape or two at your favorite vape shop. This is a brand with a huge selection of vapes in different sizes, shapes and capacities – but how long does an HQD vape actually last?

In this guide, we’ll go over the popular vapes from HQD, discussing their e-liquid capacities and advertised puff counts. We’ll also explain a few important things that you need to know before you buy.

How Long Popular HQD Vapes Last

We’ll start with a quick listing of some of HQD’s newest and most popular devices. For each one, we’ll detail how much e-liquid the device has and how many puffs it’s advertised to deliver.

  • HQD Cuvie Mars: Contains 18 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 8,000 puffs.

  • HQD Cuvie Plus 2.0: Contains 18 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 9,000 puffs.

  • HQD Glaze: Contains 22 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 15,000 puffs.

  • HQD Cuvie X: Contains 28 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 25,000 puffs.

  • HQD Click Pro: Contains 24 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 30,000 puffs.

  • HQD GO 35K: Contains 18 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 35,000 puffs.

  • HQD SNAP 50K: Contains 18 ml of e-liquid and lasts up to 50,000 puffs.

What Do the Puff Counts on HQD Vapes Actually Mean?

In the old days, vape manufacturers would hook their vapes up to automatic smoking machines to determine how many puffs they delivered before running out of e-liquid. The machine would be configured to puff on the device for about a second at a time, and the manufacturer would get a rough idea of the device’s performance from that test.

One of the problems with putting a number on a package, though, is that consumers are automatically drawn to packages with bigger numbers on them. So, manufacturers were encouraged to stretch their devices’ performance figures a bit. That created the vaping industry’s current situation. Everyone knows that the advertised puff counts are exaggerated, but all of the manufacturers feel compelled to inflate their puff counts because everyone else is doing the same thing.

Comparing E-Liquid Capacity Is Key

Because manufacturers have used different standards to measure the puff counts of their devices over the years, it’s created some odd situations like you’ve seen with the HQD vapes listed above. Several vapes from HQD contain 18 ml of vape juice, but the devices’ advertised puff counts range from 8,000 to 50,000.

As you can probably imagine, it’s not possible for one vape to deliver five or six times as many hits as another with the same amount of e-liquid. That’s why the amount of vape juice should always be the main deciding factor if you want to know how long an HQD vape lasts compared to another device. If two devices have the same e-liquid capacity, they’ll last about as long as one another.

As you compare different generations of HQD vapes, though, it’s important to note that some of the company’s more recent devices really do use e-liquid more efficiently. The HQD SNAP 50K, for example, uses a clear tank instead of a saturated wick for e-liquid storage. The design reduces waste, which means that the SNAP 50K actually can deliver more puffs with the same amount of vape juice. It won’t deliver five times as many puffs as the Cuvie Plus, but it’ll definitely last noticeably longer.

The Most Important Thing to Know About How Long HQD Vapes Last

The most important thing to know about how long HQD vapes last is how long your preferred device lasts for you given your personal usage patterns. Only you know what settings you usually use and how long your average puff is, and those are the key things that determine how long a vape lasts before it runs out of e-liquid.

The next time you open a new vape, make a note of the date and count how many days it lasts before it’s empty. Divide the price of the device by that number. Suppose, for example, that you paid $15.00 for a particular HQD vape, and it ran out of e-liquid after nine days of use. In that case, you paid about $1.67 per day to use the device. You can maintain a log of the different vapes that you buy and compare them on that basis to find out what’s most economical for you.

How to Make HQD Vapes Last Longer

  • If your device has adjustable power, keep it on the lowest available power setting as much as possible unless using a higher setting is necessary for you to have a satisfying experience. Higher power levels produce bigger clouds, but that also means your device will go through its e-liquid supply more quickly.

  • Wait several seconds after each puff to ensure that the wick will be fully saturated when you puff again. If the wick isn’t saturated, your HQD vape won’t produce a full, satisfying cloud.

  • Don’t allow your HQD vape to overheat. Excess heat will cause the device to use its e-liquid supply less efficiently and can even cause leaking in some cases.

  • Put your HQD vape down when you’re not using it. The biggest reason why disposable vapes don’t always last as long as people would like them to is because they’re vaping constantly without ever pausing to think about whether they actually need the nicotine. If you put your vape down – or even on the other side of the room – it’ll remind you to wait until you’re actually experiencing a nicotine craving. You’ll probably find that your HQD vapes will last significantly longer.
