Leopard Catamarans is proud to introduce the all-new Leopard 52, the most versatile sailing catamaran in its class. Replacing the highly successful Leopard 50, this model represents a bold evolution in design, comfort, and performance while staying true to the brand’s legacy of building robust blue-water cruising catamarans.

Versatility is at the heart of the Leopard 52’s design. The yacht offers multiple interior layouts, ranging from a three-cabin live aboard configuration with a utility room to a six-cabin charter layout, each with an en suite head and shower. Additional options include a crew cabin and a variety of cockpit table configurations, allowing the yacht to meet the diverse needs of private owners and charter operations alike.

The Leopard 52 also emphasizes comfort and social connection on board. The saloon and aft cockpit open fully, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living space, while a watertight forward door provides direct access to the foredeck, enhancing both safety and ventilation. Upgraded interior finishes, indirect lighting, and refined details throughout the yacht bring an atmosphere closer to a luxury residence than a traditional sailing catamaran.
Performance has been refined alongside comfort. The Leopard 52 is larger, faster, and more agile than its predecessor. Naval architects Simonis Voogd Design applied advanced CFD modeling to optimize hull design, reducing pitching motion, improving seakeeping, and enhancing turning ability.
Built by Robertson & Caine in South Africa, the Leopard 52 benefits from decades of boatbuilding experience. Compared to the Leopard 50, the new design features a 17 percent increase in upwind sail area, delivering stronger performance and a more rewarding sailing experience. A taller mast, overlapping genoa, and optional square-top mainsail provide additional power, ensuring the yacht performs across a wide range of conditions while maintaining its blue-water cruising capabilities.

The Leopard 52 also incorporates sustainable and energy-efficient features. Optional integrated solar panels, lithium battery systems, and a hybrid electric propulsion package developed in partnership with Joool enable hydro-regeneration while under sail. Owners may also choose fully electric cooking and appliances, reducing reliance on LPG and improving onboard energy efficiency.

In addition to private ownership, the Leopard 52 will be available through The Moorings as the Moorings 5200, offered both in charter and through the yacht ownership program. This expands accessibility for sailors who wish to experience the yacht in a variety of cruising and vacation settings.
With its adaptable layouts, refined performance, and advanced technology, the Leopard 52 represents a significant step forward for Leopard Catamarans. From long-term liveaboards to families enjoying charter vacations, the yacht is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of sailors while delivering the comfort, versatility, and blue-water performance expected from a modern Leopard Catamaran.
