Mochi Craft Yachts - The Dolphin 74' Cruiser

Mochi Craft is presenting its flagship, the Dolphin 74’ Cruiser - the response to a demanding clientele looking for excellence in terms of seaworthiness, comfort and design. The Dolphin 74’ Cruiser, an ideal yacht for long cruises, is characterized by a series of innovations that are truly unique in the Lobster segment: functional and very modern solutions on this yacht take the concept of on-board liveability to unprecedented levels, fully expressing the experience and leadership of the Ferretti Group.

Designed by architect Brunello Acampora from Studio Victory Design in close cooperation with AYT&D - Advanced Yacht Technology & Design, Ferretti Group’s research and development Department, the Dolphin 74’ Cruiser compounds all the experience gained by Mochi Craft since it first created the “Italian Style” Lobster Boat. The result is a last-generation lobster boat retaining all Mochi Craft’s elegance and style while introducing innovative functional solutions.

The Dolphin 74’ Cruiser combines the stylish and top-performing features of the hull – featuring a variable geometry deep-V bottom, an average deadrise angle of 19°, and longitudinal steps – with the typically marine style of its interiors, characterized by an extensive use of warm, golden solid teak. The elegance of the bitts, which have been manually shaped from one single block of steel, and the wide range of pastel colours available for the Owner to choose from for the hull prove once more that this yacht is truly aiming for uniqueness.

To present this model, Mochi Craft has chosen a blue hull. Blue is indeed the most classical shade in the world of Lobster Boats (which were created in Maine in the 1930s and are still style icons nowadays) and this choice confirms that refined design can effectively and harmoniously combine tradition and innovation.

The large cockpit sheltered by the flybridge welcomes the yacht’s guests on-board and becomes an area to be enjoyed also thanks to the large fixed teak table with three folding seats and a comfortable bench-sofa that can be converted into a sun pad.

The very functional garage can host a 3.5-meter tender and a jet-ski at the same time - a real record for a 22-meter yacht. The garage door opens to create an approximately 7m2-additional aft area that can be used as a sunbathing area and swimming platform.

The sidedecks run uninterruptedly along the yacht’s 22 meters and, from the cockpit, lead to a wide, comfortable forward area featuring a sun pad that can comfortably fit four people, and an integrated sofa where guests can sunbathe enjoying the utmost privacy.

The flybridge is very wide (25 m2 ) and offers great freedom of movement. The pilot station is in a central position; towards the bow is the large dinette with a corner sofa, fully equipped to dine in the open air, while in the aft part guests can enjoy sunbathing comfortably lying on a large sun pad. Upon request, a Bimini top can also be installed on the flybridge.

The day area is very generous and has been arranged so as to divide the service areas from the Owner’s quarters, thereby ensuring maximum comfort and privacy for the Owner at any time during the day; its 20m2 area includes a living room, a dining area, a separate galley, the pilot station and a dinette.

The salon – which is very large to ensure maximum liveability in the entire living area – features a comfortable conversation area, furnished with a large L-shaped sofa to portside, an armchair and a coffee table. To port stand a second sofa, a corner table, and a concealing TV set, which can be up to 42” in size.

Walking towards the bow access is gained to the dining area, furnished with a large table with leather chairs seating eight people; the furniture behind the table and around this area provides for a lot of storage space. On the left-hand side is the separate, fully-equipped galley, which is divided from the living area by a wall with a sliding door. All crew members can move freely without disturbing the Owner since, from the galley, a staircase leads to the crew area, located on the lower deck, while a side door opens onto an outdoor sidedeck which connects the entire main deck to the pilot station.

On-board the Dolphin 74’ Cruiser, Mochi Craft has installed a comprehensive set of standard technological equipment, which includes an integrated navigation system, and HD radar, and a Gi8 touch-screen display monitoring system.

The pilot station, completely divided from the living area by a teak partition with sliding doors, features a comfy dinette to starboard, which can also be used for chartering and which offers guests a wonderful view over the sea when cruising beside the captain or the Owner. The large glazing, obtained from special double curvature glass and without uprights, is an unmistakable feature of the Dolphin 74’ Cruiser.

The stairs leading below deck to the night area are located in a central position, between the pilot station and the dinette.
