Harbour Town Golf Links is also currently ranked in America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses (Golf Digest) and the Top 100 Courses You Can Play (Golf Magazine). All three courses have achieved designation as Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuaries.
At the Golf Learning Center, instruction is customized for every level of golfer. A team of award-winning instructors addresses every element of the game. Club fitting and mental coaching are offered, as is individual and group instruction. The latest technology is employed to build individual plans to improve full swing, short game, and golf performance on and off the course.

Established in 1969, Harbour Town Golf Links is the signature course at The Sea Pines Resort and one of the most celebrated venues in American golf.
Home to the PGA TOUR’s RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing since its inaugural year, Harbour Town helped define Hilton Head Island’s reputation as a premier golf destination. From Arnold Palmer’s first Heritage victory to generations of champions who have followed, the course has earned an enduring place in the game’s history.
Designed by Pete Dye with consulting support from Jack Nicklaus, Harbour Town places a premium on finesse, imagination, precision, and strategic shot-making. Its narrow corridors, small greens, distinctive par 3s, and demanding approach angles reward thoughtful play over power, creating a true test for the world’s best players and an unforgettable experience for resort guests.
The course’s unforgettable finish along Calibogue Sound—framed by the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse—remains one of golf’s most recognizable closing holes.
In 2025, Harbour Town underwent an extensive restoration led by Love Golf Design, with five-time RBC Heritage winner Davis Love III serving as player consultant. The project preserved Pete Dye’s original strategy while rebuilding greens, bunkers, and bulkheads; refining agronomic systems; and maintaining TifEagle Bermuda greens and Celebration Bermuda turf on tees, fairways, and rough.
Heron Point by Pete Dye

Heron Point was totally redesigned by Pete Dye in 2007 and has become a must-play component of any Lowcountry golf visit. Originally named the Sea Marsh Course when the course debuted in 1963, Heron Point is a happy marriage of charm and challenge that provides a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Following Dye-directed modifications, Heron Point encourages strategic risk-reward shot selections on dramatic fairways and into tight targets and small greens protected by Dye’s signature mounds and swales.
On four holes where water guards the greens, alternating wood and grass walls create bulkheads that visually dramatize the peril. A mixture of grasses, sand, mulch, and limestone surfaces offers a vivid palette of stunning colors.
A modern masterpiece from one of golf’s true geniuses, Heron Point can play as long as 7,035 yards from the back tees but is cleverly set up to welcome all golfers with seven sets of tees on each hole (including orange tees for juniors and beginners).
Atlantic Dunes

Atlantic Dunes is a complete reconstruction of The Sea Pines Resort’s historic Ocean Course, the first layout built on Hilton Head Island in 1961 by George Cobb. The total makeover by Davis Love III debuted in October 2016 and retraces the original routing.
Love, a five-time winner of the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage presented by Boeing, rebuilt every hole to accommodate modern shot values. Just as important was protecting and enhancing the course’s seaside setting, which he accomplished by incorporating coquina shells, seaside grasses, the surrounding beachfront, as well as native pines and oaks to line the fairways. The “new” course is more spacious than the original with wider, more scenic corridors, smaller water hazards, and larger, more welcoming greens.
Atlantic Dunes also benefits both visually and strategically from the restoration of natural sand dunes, as well as the creation of new dunes that blend seamlessly into the design. Tens of thousands of indigenous plants complete the seaside feel.
