Robert De Niro Presents The American Icon Award To Al Pacino
The First Annual AMERICAN ICON AWARDS Held May 19th at Beverly Wilshire hotel

Fischer and Christine Avanti-Fischer (humanitarians), Joanne Lara (Autism Movement Therapy/Autism Works), Shari Liss and Anissa Kalinowski of Ignited organization, and many, many more attended the inaugural American Icon Awards last night at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills. Marlo Thomas spoke on behalf of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to note.
The award gala took place Sunday, May 19th from 5:30pm - Midnight at the iconic Beverly Wilshire hotel, complete with red carpet arrivals, a silent auction, cocktail hour, seated gala dinner, award presentations, speeches by charity beneficiaries, video montages to the honorees, musical performances and various other programming throughout the evening. Martin Scorcese served as honoree dinner chairman.
Al Pacino received the “American ICON Award” honor, Quincy Jones received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” honor, Evander Holyfield received the “American Sports Legend Award” honor and Devon Still the “Sports Philanthropy Award” honor.
Live musical performances took place by Jackie Cruz of Orange Is The New Black, who just launched her album, Robin Thicke who wowed the room with an incredible live stage show, and David Foster curated a live set where he played piano alongside singers Shelea, Pia Toscano and Matteo Bocelli). Sebastien Maniscalco also performed a live comedy set for the room.
