But for Modena’s engineers, a high-performance road car was merely the starting point. After taking the platform back to the track to develop the ferocious GT2 race car, Maserati has brought that motorsport engineering full circle with the debut of the Maserati GT2 Stradale.

Uncorking the Nettuno V6

At the beating heart of the GT2 Stradale is an evolved version of Maserati’s proprietary 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6. Utilizing Formula 1-derived twin-spark, pre-chamber combustion technology, the engineers coaxed an additional 10 horsepower out of the powerplant, raising total output to 631 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque.  

Power is sent exclusively to the rear wheels via an optimized eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Paired with an aggressive 132-pound weight reduction over the standard MC20, the GT2 Stradale’s power-to-weight ratio delivers breathtaking statistics:  0 to 60 MPH: 2.8 seconds  Top Speed: 201 MPH  Dry Weight: ~3,009 lbs  This raw acceleration makes the GT2 Stradale one of the quickest rear-wheel-drive production cars in its class, shaving nearly half a second off the base MC20’s 0–60 time.  

Functional Aerodynamics & Race-Bred Design

Visually, the GT2 Stradale looks like it drove straight out of the pit lane at Spa or Daytona. Every scoop, vent, and wing serves a dedicated aerodynamic purpose: The Front End: A dramatically redesigned front bumper, massive carbon fiber splitter, and hood louvers channel airflow over the chassis while cooling the brakes and radiators.  The Rear Wing: Dominating the rear profile is an unmissable, three-position adjustable carbon fiber spoiler derived directly from the GT2 race car.  Ground Effects: A widened rear diffuser and sculpted underbody channels suck the chassis to the pavement. At 173 mph, the aggressive aerodynamic package generates an astounding 1,100+ pounds of downforce, keeping the car glued through high-speed sweepers.

Slide inside through the signature butterfly doors, and the GT2 Stradale’s racing DNA is immediately evident. The cabin strips away unnecessary fluff in favor of lightweight exposed carbon fiber, Alcantara upholstery, and race-ready ergonomics.

A restyled carbon fiber steering wheel features integrated shift lights and an intuitive drive-mode selector knob. Drivers can toggle through CORSA mode for maximum track performance, or tap into the brand-new CORSA EVO setting, which recalibrates traction control, electronic differential slip, and suspension stiffness for maximum mechanical grip.  

For buyers looking to take their track days even further, Maserati offers optional performance packages that add carbon-ceramic racing brakes, four-point harnesses, and an integrated lap trigger system.

The Ultimate Trident Statement

Priced around $312,000 to start, the Maserati GT2 Stradale takes aim at hardcore track legends like the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Ferrari 296 GTB. Yet, unlike many track-focused specials that prove punishingly stiff on public asphalt, Maserati managed to preserve a surprising degree of suspension compliance for the drive to and from the circuit.
