One Wall StreetThe Evolution Of A Masterpiece

From its birth as tower of finance in 1930, to its new life as a luxury residential tower, the ongoing story of One Wall Street has been over 90 years in the making. An Art Deco masterpiece designed by Ralph Walker, who was named the Architect of the Century by the American Institute of Architects, One Wall Street was certified as a New York City landmark in 2001. One Wall Street was purchased by Macklowe Properties in 2014, with the intention of not only creating luxury condominiums, but transforming the Financial District into a residential destination for a new generation. To that end, the building has been designed to be a neighborhood focal point, with a curated mix of luxury retailers on the building’s lower levels, including the Paris-based luxury retailer Printemps, whose One Wall Street store will be their flagship in America. An on-site Whole Foods will provide the everyday convenience of grocery shopping just an elevator ride away, while a 75,000-square-foot, four story Life Time, will offer the city’s only athletic country club experience.

Reimagining and rebuilding a commercial bank building to surpass even the highest standards of a new century was a challenge of unimaginable enormity. From lobby to crown, every square inch of One Wall Street has been born anew. The all new construction interiors have been thoughtfully redesigned, the exterior meticulously restored. The residences have been conceived and configured from empty space — their shapes and sizes, proportions and personalities determined by a philosophy that places quality of life before all else.

One Wall Street offers curated residential collections: The Harbor Collection, with stunning views of New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty and beyond; the Tower Collection, whose homes occupy eight of the building’s upper floors; The Loft Collection, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass curtain wall construction; and The Terrace Collection that seamlessly integrate the indoor with the outdoors. Regardless of which collection one chooses, the views from every window look onto landmarks and icons of the city’s magnificent past and unstoppable future —the World Trade Center, Trinity Church, the Canyon of Heroes, the New York Stock Exchange, Battery Park and more.

The One Club, One Wall Street’s amenities offering, measures an enormous 100,000-square-feet. Exclusively for residents and their guests, The One Club rivals the best private social clubs of London and New York City. Inspired by resort hotel-level amenities and services, The One Club delivers a daily living experience that simply isn’t available at any other condominium residence in the City. Among The One Club amenities is a private bar and fine dining restaurant on the 39th floor, serving meals from morning to late supper. Residents can choose to cocktail or dine al fresco on the adjacent 4,500-square-foot landscaped terrace overlooking New York Harbor. Whether residents desire relaxation or exercise, The One Club can accommodate, with one of the most gorgeous pools in the city, perched on the 38th floor. Seventy-five feet in length, the glass enclosed pool is perfect for swimming laps or simply floating above the fray. A wraparound terrace features comfortable lounging for taking in the panoramic cityscape while sunbathing. A Fitness Center is adjacent to the pool, with an array of cardio and weight machines as well as sauna and recovery rooms. For residents who desire to work from home without leaving the building, One Works by One Wall Street offers 6,500-square-feet of co-working space with everything from soundproof phone and pod casting rooms to a continuously restocked kitchen and two full-size conference rooms. For families, One Wall Street offers a children’s playroom and a separate teen room for studying or hanging out with friends.

One Wall Street occupies the prime corner of Broadway, and represents the ultimate downtown location. Long known as the Financial District, the neighborhood is rapidly becoming the city’s newest residential mecca. At the very center of New York’s most historic neighborhood, One Wall Street is just steps from world class shopping, Michelin-starred restaurants, the Battery Park and Hudson River esplanades, and a host of entertainment and cultural venues. With its unique mix of old and new, the area is animated by a palpable energy and excitement. From the nearby and newly redesigned South Street Seaport to the waterfront shopping mall along the Hudson across from the World Trade Center, no matter which way one chooses to wander, a bounty of activities and entertainments await. Being in the narrowest part of Manhattan means all the city’s mass transit lines converge to within a few blocks of One Wall Street. Add to that the bridges, ferries, water taxis and heliports, and getting to airports or the Hamptons couldn’t be easier or faster.

The result of the visionary thinking of Harry Macklowe, working with an outstanding team of architects, designers and retailers, One Wall Street represents a rare opportunity to acquire not only a world class luxury residence, but to own a piece of New York history.
