Aspen Skiing Company Unveils the Exclusive Snowmass Mountain Club
Nestled in the heart of the brand-new Snowmass Base Village, lies the exclusive, membership-only Snowmass Mountain Club, the first-of-its-kind in the Snowmass-Aspen area in over twenty years. With sophisticated amenities that offer an elevated lifestyle, the Mountain Club embodies the perfect blend of mountain adventure and spa-like relaxation.
With a prime location in the new Snowmass Base Village, the largest ski-area village development currently underway in North America at $600 million, the Mountain Club offers the utmost in luxury and comfortability in a modern setting that reflects the village’s storied past while also taking a look to the future.
One thing is for certain in Snowmass Base Village – the liveliness of the surrounding town. With new residences, namely One Snowmass with Inspirato, there is more incentive now than ever for people to visit more often throughout the year and for longer each time. Thanks to the 24/7 way of life in the village, being a member to Snowmass Mountain Club or second-home owner at One Snowmass is worth it all months of the year.
“Hard on the heels of the Limelight Snowmass Hotel’s successful grand opening, we are thrilled to continue the celebration with the unveiling of the Snowmass Mountain Club, the first membership-based offering to come on the scene since 1999,” said Greg DeRosa, Snowmass Mountain Club Manager. “The Club’s state-of-the-art facilities, amenities, year-round activities and overall boutique club environment will bring a new experience that many of our guests are looking for.”
Occupying approximately 5,000 square feet and two floors of the Limelight Hotel at the plaza level, the Snowmass Mountain Club is the perfect balance of exclusivity and approachability. A mid-day break from skiing has never been cozier, thanks to the club’s sprawling lounge and bar, stocked with a light continental breakfast to fuel the day as well as hand-selected wines, locally brewed beer and light bites to embrace the Après-Ski culture of Snowmass. The cozy-chic environment is outfitted to accommodate 228 memberships, each of which including a generous allotment of guest passes for a shared experience with friends and associates.
Skiing can get complicated – with bulky gear, crowded lift lines and the cold weather, time spent carving down the mountain is limited. At Snowmass Mountain Club, where every detail is thought out to ensure members maximize time on the slopes and minimize time spent setting up and getting there, the amenities are a skier and snowboarder’s dream come true. A seamless ski-vacation is guaranteed thanks to the ski valet service, which will clean and store ski-gear overnight as well as have it waiting for members in the morning, and the onsite concierge, which will be available to book dinner reservations, first tracks and more.
Other attractive benefits of the club membership include ski-in/ski-out access to Snowmass, family lockers complete with boot dryers, access to the state-of-the-art fitness center and spa pools at The Limelight and secured indoor garage just an elevator ride away from the slopes.
Memberships are programmed with the unique offerings of Snowmass for each season, featuring exclusive programs such as moonlight cross country skiing, first tracks and private events. Although classically thought of as a winter destination, Snowmass Base Village has something to offer in each season. In June, the food and wine festival, Heritage Fire, will take place, bringing together the top chefs and bartenders in the country for a couple days of delicious eats and lively fun. The fall foliage in the Roaring Fork Valley also makes for the perfect backdrop to a crisp fall hike.
“While the winter season will always be a draw for members, the Roaring Fork Valley has so much beauty to offer during all four seasons,” said Greg DeRosa, Snowmass Mountain Club Manager. “Through personalized experiences, we encourage members and their guests to make full use of the Club’s facilities and services all months of the year, whether it be hiking the mountains and valleys in the summer or hitting the slopes in the winter. There really is something for everyone at The Snowmass Mountain Club, and especially those with a passion for outdoor exploration.”
The Snowmass Mountain Club offers three levels of memberships — platinum, gold and silver with refundable deposits priced from $55,000 to $125,000. The Platinum Level Membership includes everything the club has to offer, including two premier ski season passes annually valid at all four Aspen Snowmass mountains, secured indoor parking, complimentary coffee, cocoa, tea and pastries, complimentary beer, wine and snacks, a private family locker, ski valet service and storage for four pairs of skis or boards, on-site concierge and 20 clubhouse guest passes annually. For those who don’t require parking facilities at the club, the gold membership features all of the above except for parking, and the silver membership offers full access to club facilities and programming, with the exclusion of parking and ski passes.
