The London - West Hollywood

Written by Dawn Wilson

Just off Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood sits the beautiful London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills, a high-end, 5-star hotel. It is an all-suite property, offering modern luxury at its best. Located at the foot of the Hollywood Hills and adjacent to Beverly Hills, West Hollywood is known for its lavish restaurants and lively entertainment. It is one of the most walkable neighborhoods in Los Angeles, making it one of the most sought-after areas to stay in. It is a stylish hotel with an upscale cosmopolitan feel and is often visited by well-traveled guests who value excellent service and luxury amenities. Guests receive this and more when staying at The London West Hollywood.

All 226 suites are spacious, offering 725 square feet of space or more. There are two categories of suites provided, standard suites and premier suites, both of which offer unparalleled luxury. The suites were designed by David Collins, a designer well-respected for his work in some of London’s hot spots, such as Claridge’s Hotel Bar. The color palette consists of calm, soothing tones with deep rich accents. Hotel suites also have upholstered velvet and leather couches, green marble desks, and large green lacquered closets. The bedding is as luxurious as the décor, large-scale king beds, 350-thread-count Italian linens, duck-feathered-stuffed duvets, and pillows. The elegant bathrooms are sparkling white with large soaking tubs, a separate shower with double showerheads, double vanity, and Italian marble. Each suite has a small, tiled terrace with railings and a lounge chair designed for two. They provide incredible views of the Hollywood Hills and Los Angeles Skyline from the comfort of your suite. Room amenities include a fully stocked wet bar, iHome iPod docking station, 32-inch LG flat-screen television, and an electric safe.

The tenth-floor penthouse, inspired by Vivienne Westwood, is accessed through a private corridor. At 11,000 square feet (6,000 indoors and 5,000 outdoors), it is still considered an intimate setting ideal for entertaining guests and boasts the most stunningly beautiful city views.

Guests have plenty of dining options at The London West Hollywood. Boxwood restaurant is a beautifully designed, classy restaurant offering nouveau American cuisine prepared with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. It is the heart of the hotel and is where a generous complimentary breakfast buffet is served daily. A traditional Afternoon Tea is also available. The London Bar, with its studded leather panels, plush stools, and marble stone top counter, also serves small plates and cocktails. Natural light shines through from the skylight illuminating the entire room. There is also a lovely sitting room simply for lounging, sipping on coffee, a cocktail, or eating something light while enjoying the ambiance.

A visit to the 10th-floor rooftop pool and bar is a must during your stay. It is spacious and has panoramic views of the Hollywood Hills, downtown Los Angeles, and beyond. It is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day, as it has four poolside cabanas complete with couches, chairs, and flat-screen televisions. Cabanas are stocked with water and fruit. There are also umbrellas and loungers, a firepit, a tiled waterfall, and lounge music playing in the background, setting the tone for a truly relaxing experience. There is a full-service bar at the rooftop bar, which is also where food orders are placed. Guests can also visit the 24-hour indoor gym with its floor-to-ceiling windows and where there are cardio machines, weights, and various equipment and machines.

Many are introduced to The London West Hollywood by attending a press junket or screening in the hotel’s screening room. It can accommodate up to 110 guests. In addition, guests can enjoy pre-event and post-event cocktails from the screening room bar. Everything needed is provided for a lavish event of any kind.

When you think you’ve heard all that you need to know, I feel it is also worth mentioning that it is a dog-friendly hotel, offers complimentary Wi-Fi, and a house car can take you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel. Every guest is treated like a personal guest at someone’s home, as this is how the hotel staff and management make you feel. You are indeed treated as a VIP when staying at The London West Hollywood. It is likely why so many return when visiting Los Angeles.
