Bacari Opens its 10th Restaurant in Long Beach

Bacari, the beloved Los Angeles-based Mediterranean and Italian-inspired small plates restaurant group, is proud to announce the opening of its newest location in Long Beach. Located at 5620 East Second Street in Belmont Shore — the former home of Michael’s on Naples — Bacari Long Beach marks the brand’s 10th restaurant and latest chapter in its continued Southern California expansion.
The new Long Beach restaurant will become Bacari’s 10th location overall and ninth in Los Angeles County, further expanding the family-owned hospitality group’s growing Southern California footprint. Following the success of recent openings in Culver City and North Park San Diego, Bacari Long Beach brings the restaurant group’s signature dining experience to one of the region’s most walkable and energetic beachside communities.
The new two-story space is designed to feel warm, lively, and transportive — blending rustic Mediterranean influences with coastal California charm. Featuring indoor and outdoor dining, rooftop seating, and two bars including a large open-air upstairs bar and patio, the restaurant is designed to encourage lingering meals, group gatherings, and late-night cocktails. Bacari Long Beach will serve dinner nightly, weekend brunch, and the energetic atmosphere that has made the brand a staple across Los Angeles.

Designed by Co-Owner Robert Kronfli, Bacari Long Beach continues the brand’s signature aesthetic rooted in layered textures, reclaimed materials, vintage details, and intimate lighting. The restaurant features indoor and outdoor dining spaces, rooftop seating, two distinct bar areas, and a mix of cozy corners and communal tables that create an inviting and social dining experience. Future plans for the space also include live music programming in the months following opening.
The menu, led by Executive Chef and Co-Owner Lior Hillel, highlights Bacari’s signature Mediterranean-inspired small plates with Italian influences and locally sourced ingredients. Guests can expect longtime favorites including the Lamb Hummus with braised ground lamb, spiced Lebanese stew, crudités, sesame, tahini, and fresh pita; the Asian Pear & Brie Pizza with guava fromage blanc, wild arugula, grey salt, and frantoia olive oil; and The Best Cake with medjool dates, brown sugar caramel, and crispy bacon.
Bacari’s beverage program will feature the restaurant’s well-known lineup of house-made sangrias, seasonal cocktails, mocktails, and curated international wines. A standout favorite remains the Bacarita — made with watermelon juice, basil, jalapeño, agave, tequila, and lime with a tajin rim — which has become one of the restaurant group’s signature cocktails across all locations.
Bacari Long Beach will be open Monday and Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM; Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 10:30 PM; Thursday from 4:30 PM to 11:00 PM; Friday from 4:30 PM to 12:00 AM; Saturday from 10:30 AM to 12:00 AM; and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Happy Hour will be offered Monday through Friday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Reservations will be available via OpenTable, though walk-ins will continue to be welcomed, staying true to the restaurant’s approachable and neighborhood-oriented philosophy.
