Elevated Magazines (EM): How would your clients describe you?
Jeff Scroggins & Paige Johnson: Proactive, agile, and highly communicative.
EM: What’s a transaction or client experience you’re especially proud of over the past year?
Jeff: The feedback from clients has been that we seek out the right buyer audience, and we utilize a progressive business model in how we leverage and sell listings.
For example, we recently closed on a listing in Copper Mountain, and for that home, the Open House attracted the right buyer. We continue to see buyers visiting properties during Open Houses. Often, buyers are starting their real estate search on their own without an agent. They start the search on-line and then will do an in-person visit. Our property marketing plans are set up to include communicating with this type of buyer.
It’s not always step 2 or step 3 that gets the job done; it’s a process, and our clients continue to tell us that they’re getting the results they want.
Paige: We treat their assets delicately and market those properties intentionally and strategically. Each property’s marketing plan is unique. We strive to ensure we are talking to the appropriate buying audience.
Jeff: We often hear clients say that they appreciate how we are adaptable, as we shift gears when needed and adapt in real time.
EM: How do you flex your individual skills/background to help your clients?
Paige: I love connecting people and ideas and cultivating relationships.
Jeff: Paige is great at client relationships and softening my edges, as I tend to be more abrupt. She excels at client relationships and sincerely loves helping people through the process of buying and selling.
My background before real estate was in the creative world, working with luxury brands. That’s given me lots of context in how we approach marketing for luxury homes; we don’t settle for good enough.
We’re always a step or two ahead, asking “How do we get upstream?” and
“Where are the buyers coming from for a home like this?”
EM: How do you leverage the Sotheby’s International Realty network?
Paige: We have built strong feeder market relationships and connections. That along with the Sotheby’s International Realty global network allows us to stay in regular commination with those agents and markets.
This helps our clients achieve their goals because we have a reach that no other brand can replicate. We position their listing in the best light to a discerning audience.
EM: What sets you apart as a broker team?
Jeff: In my opinion, I believe two sets of eyes and ears are better than one.
Working collaboratively gives our clients a higher level of service. With two of us, someone will always be available, so they’re getting double the manpower.
Paige: We have a progressive business model that ensures we treat our clients as people and not transactions. We strive to help our clients achieve their unique goals before, during, and after a sale.
Please share some of your favorite aspects of the Summit County lifestyle:
Jeff: It’s truly a small-town experience but we have amenities for 150,000 people, with an elevated restaurant scene and services that rival cities. So, it’s really the best of both worlds to be in a community with only about 32,000 people who live here year-round and have these spectacular amenities.
Paige: Jeff and I both enjoy playing 9 holes of golf before or after work during the summer. I love Summit County because we can do all our hobbies: mountain biking, skiing, or fly-fishing throughout the year.
