Soho Works - A Look Inside West Hollywood’s Premiere Workspace By Soho House

When we think of Soho House, we immediately know the brand and think of their lavish, inviting and sophisticated membership lounges covering the U.S. and the globe, from Chicago to Barcelona, Miami to their origin in London. They are a destination our readers absolutely love, and serve as a home away from home for their members. In Los Angeles, they now have four membership houses, with Malibu and downtown pairing nicely with West Hollywood and the new Holloway House that recently opened in the former Palihouse space, a second house now open in West Hollywood due to growing demand.

For those that were unaware, Soho House has also expanded with their Soho Works work spaces, which began to pop up just before and during the pandemic. These were a much needed expansion element to the entity, and undoubtedly the best communal workspace offering out there.

Soho Works is an international network of stunning workspaces by Soho House, based in cities all over the world, in locations close to or within their Houses, highlighted in Los Angeles by the West Hollywood Works location. Their West Hollywood location is located on the 3rd level of 9000 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.

The workspaces combine Soho House design aesthetic with the tools, technology and equipment to allow for members to do their best work. Membership is offered to both House Members, House Friends and Non-Members, so you do not have to be a Soho House member to join.

Their global community is made up of Soho House members and creatives who work and collaborate together in spaces that are designed to inspire. Soho Works is a gorgeous office environment, relaxing and calming yet inspiring and exciting, while fully functional. Works is a smart and well planned extension of the Soho brand to the benefit of members and non members. The space was designed by Harriet Liley, Lead Designer at Soho House.

The rates vary slightly, as current Members get a discount. The membership is month to month, without a year obligation, so you are not locked in if your plans change, your location changes, or work travel needs. Especially great for those in the film industry, creative space as well as business professionals. Plus, you may use your membership across different cities such as New York which includes Works spaces in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District for example, and Brooklyn’s Dumbo, among others. The West Hollywood Works is in the heart of the strip, and located right between their Weho House and Holloaway houses.

Soho Works offers communal lounge memberships, dedicated desks, dedicated offices, and collective packages for larger companies tailoring to their business needs. They have multiple conference rooms, as well as individual privacy phone booths. Video conferencing, private lock stations, top of the line printing and shredding stations, office supplies, members kitchens and pantries. They have a wellness room, showers and feature the signature Soho Cowshed products among the features members have access to utilize. Charging outlets along with USB ports are properly built into all of the communal furniture as well.

Soho Works also has incredible programming on the regular, with events to stimulate members as well as to entertain - such as their recent Holiday Marketplace ranging to Expert Panels, Artist Exhibits, Cocktail Tastings, Chef Experiences, Film and Music events, and Educational summits, to name a few. They just hosted panels for Frieze LA and over Grammy week, as part of their “Behind The Works” series recently launched.

Their private hire room The Loft, which is a communal member space when not activated, is stunning to say the least, and the perfect setting for private event bookings, inclusive of its own kitchen, AV connects and a beautiful oversized marble island. At 1,660 Square feet, it also has floor to ceiling windows overlooking The Sunset Strip and Hollywood Hills, and can be rented seven days per week or after hours.

Members receive many perks such as complimentary coffee, tea, breakfast, fruit and snacks daily. There are also often surprise dessert elements offered to members each week.
