The World Branding Forum also declared Global Winners in its first online ceremony. Among them were Spotify, Zoom, Yakult, Netflix, and Amazon.

“2021 has been extremely difficult for businesses worldwide. COVID-19 forced many brands to adapt to a new normal, and the Awards celebrate the efforts these businesses have put into their branding and marketing. Each winner has won the love and trust of their consumers and the Awards are a testament to it,” said Richard Rowles, Chairman of the World Branding Forum.

More than 1.3 million consumer votes have been received since the inception of the Awards and this year more than 345,000 consumes participated in the nomination process globally. The World Branding Awards requires 70 percent of consumer participation to find the public’s favorite brand, and Tanduay has remained ahead of the rum category in the Philippines for years. It is considered an iconic brand and household name in the country, and is also making inroads in the rum markets of other countries. “We owe our success to our customers, especially our Fiipino consumers. Tanduay wouldn’t have lasted for more than 167 years if not for their support. It is with their satisfaction in mind that we create our products and make sure that we offer them only the best wherever they are in the world,” Tan said.
