Hotel Ziggy Rocks into the Sunset Strip

All new hotel concept Hotel Ziggy officially debuts for April 2022 on the heart of The Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California, the latest hotel brand introduction to debut from Springboard Hospitality. Featuring an all new F&B restaurant, bar and lounge concept, private event and performance room separated by a retractable glass garage door, a wall of vinyls behind the bar with the bartenders changing records by requests, an inviting daytime guest work space, luxurious pool area, private second floor lounge featuring a pool table, podcast rooms and media rooms, exclusive balcony event space setting and large apartment-style hotel suites that overlook The Strip.


Playing off the music legends of the 60s, 70s and 80s that made The Strip what it is, the hotel pays homage to these incredible rock artists and icons through decor elements, framed photographs, inspiration and more integrated throughout the public space, private areas and guest rooms.


The new hotel features a multitude of custom murals by artist CJ Hungerman, including the front of the hotel, with one also set to adorn the pool area.


The hotel resides in the old address of The Grafton, for those of you familiar with the area, a prime location on Sunset Blvd. in the mix of the hustle and bustle.



The exciting new menu features all meals from breakfast to late night, including their B Side pizza window on Sunset Blvd. The expansive menu items range from enticing appetizers like Beef Kefta Meatballs and Cheeto Mac’N’Cheese Balls, a signature Fried Chicken Sandwich and Smash Burger, Roasted Beet Salad, Diver Scallop Crudo, and many, many more items, with something for everyone.

Jason Moniz has been appointed as executive chef for the new Hotel Ziggy and Erin Reynolds as director of food and beverage. As seasoned hospitality veterans with decades of experience at some of the West Coast’s top restaurants and hotels, the culinary duo will oversee execution of all four boutique hotels’ dining programs, including restaurants, in-room, poolside and grab-and-go dining.


With nearly 30 years of experience as a professional chef, Moniz has trained and worked alongside notable chefs all over the world, including Alice Waters, Rick Bayless, and Diana Kennedy. He also spent time traveling throughout Mexico practicing cooking authentic Mexican cuisine with some of the country’s most well-respected chefs and culinary families. After mastering French cooking technique at Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island, Moniz went on to open several successful restaurants in the competitive San Francisco Bay Area, including Dona Tomas, Flora, Tres, Barbacoa, Locavore and Philomena. A lifelong student of food, Moniz grew up in Hawaii surrounded by a family that loved to cook and share food with potlucks and barbecues, in addition to his mother being an award-winning master cheesemaker. Today, Moniz resides in Los Angeles with his teenagers, continuing the tradition of celebrating family in the kitchen.

The duo currently leads the F&B programming within the West Hollywood Hotels collection, including Le Parc Suite, Chamberlain and Montrose hotel properties, and now brings a customized food menu and new dining concept inspired by the rock and roll history of the sunset strip to Hotel Ziggy.
